The Gaudats Junk Band was born by the idea of Daniele “Gaudats” Guidotti to merge  his talents: music and craftamnship. This union gave birth to a compltely new way to conceived instruments, made of 100% recycled material. Today the Gaudats Junk band is made of 12 enthusiastic friends who hope to spread awareness on the benefits of recycling. The construction of their instruments wants to promote the idea of redsigning the use of objects which would otherwise be thrown away.

Plastic objects, pots, tubes, pans, wines boxes and many more second-hand materials become the protagonists of the Gaudats Junk Bands’ performance. Lately the band attended two very importants events. On May the First they played for the Workers Day Concert in Rome, and in July they attended the successful Summer Festival, which takes place in Lucca every summer.

Daniele was born and raised in Capannori where he had the chance to meet and be influenced by Rossano Ercolini. The Goldman Environmental prize winner who implemented a zero waste strategy in the Italian municipality of Capannori – the first of its kind in Italy. Rossano has enthusistically endorsed Daniele’s initiatives. Indeed, today they are both part of the Zero Waste Italy’s team.
